Lockdown Cooking: Paneer Tikka Masala Recipe

One product that can be a savour, is paneer in an Indian household. There are plenty of choices when you have a paneer in your fridge: from sumptuous curries such as kadhai paneer or shahi paneer to scrubby snacks such as paneer pakoda or chilli paneer. Either a dinner party or a tea, Paneer is a hot favorite for a quick snack. But paneer tikka masala is the snack that steals the show from every menu.


But you know, isn't it that difficult to make paneer tikkas at home? We have a paneer tikka masala recipe that you can try at home easily. This paneer tikka recipe is sure to come useful for you, lockdown or no lockdown.

Ingredients

2 serving
  1. 100 gms paneer
  2. 100 gms tomato
  3. 50 gms onion
  4. 3-4 chillies
  5. 20 gms ginger
  6. 8-10 cashews
  7. 100-150 ml water
  8. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  9. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  10. 1 tsp salt
  11. 1 tsp kasuri methi
  12. 1 tsp Coriander powder
  13. as required Whole spices (cardomom, red chilli, bay leaf, cloves)
  14. 2 tbsp butter
  15. 1 tbsp fresh cream
  16. as required Coriander for garnishing
Add some butter, whole spices (cardamom, cloves, bay leaf red chilli and add tomato, onion, green chilli and ginger to the pan.
Add in the spices such as red chilli, turmeric, cilantro, Kasuri methi powder and salt and stir well. Add in some water and cook for 10-15 minutes.
Once cooled down, grind to a smooth paste or purée to remove all the spices. 
Add some butter and paste to the other pan. 

Now add some more red chilli powder and mix well. It's time to add cubes to the paneer.

Add some fresh cream and stir well for about 1 minute. Adding fresh cream will give it a creamy texture and flavor and soften the color.

And your Paneer Tikka Masala recipe is ready. Garnish with coriander and tomato, spread over a little fresh cream. Serve with kulcha, naan, roti.
